Vince, have you looked at the "How it was done" section?

There are a couple of 302 TR4's there.

Hello and welcome.

I don't know where you are, but if you decide to restore it as standard, there's an engine here https://www.ebay.com/itm/Triumph-TR4-TR3-Engine-Complete-CT50964E/292699854027?hash=item44264554cb:g:mH0AAOSwGo5bVkxo

As regards a gearbox, get an overdrive box. Highway driving is pretty miserable without overdrive.
Here are a couple of boxes, but no o/d https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Triumph-TR-4-transmission-gearbox-PRICE-IS-PER-GEARBOX/292174521342?hash=item4406f563fe:g:K~QAAOSwFJBZXmWC

Here's another https://www.ebay.com/itm/Triumph-TR6-TR250-TR4-TR3-Transmission-Rebuilt-4-Speed-All-Synchro/292696454336?hash=item44261174c0:g:bi8AAOSwrWVbJosM. You might ask this chap if he has an o/d box.

Computer is the way to go nowadays. Persist.
