I spent the weekend making motor mounts. After working 2 days I ended up cutting them off because the engine just sat too high. I was using the method of channel stock and a pancake rubber mount. To get the engine where i want it the frame the connections would have to be welded to the front cross member instead of the frame.
 Any articles or advice on an easy mounting system?

Seems Tom Lay also posted some pics of his recently but I couldn't find the thread.  Maybe he'll come along & point you to it.

I used some 1 3/4" dom tube and poly bushings - 3" long. Flat stock for brackets. My motor is set pretty low.
