How much tilt, for a Webber IDF ?

I notice DCOE's tolerate, some "tilt", how about IDF's ? Making my inlet manifolds, and want to straighten the runners.  Thanks, roverman.

Roverman,

IDF's can handle up to 7 degrees tilt otherwise you will get problems with the floatbowls.
More important is to have the throttle plates opened equally (outside to inside or vice versa), in order to create the same air flow suction.

I like "tip-in", of the throttle plates, towards the short turn radus, of the ports.  Thanks, roverman.

I learned from "Richard" at West Coast Racing Heads, IDFs' are very time consuming, to get correct throughout the range. I want the "look", so why not use 48's as TB's, with port injection ? Perhaps Fred Key, has heard of  SDS, injection controllers, in his domain ? Used as TB's, I could tilt the IDF's at any angle= straighter inlet port. Ported 907 head will port/flow to 300 cfm., and stay dry. Coolant passages limit the inlet port sizes.  Onward, roverman.

The setup of IDF is time consuming while once synchronised you need to find the ideal idle jet, main jet and air corrector configuration, but same can be said about TB's as you need to map the program on a rolling road or during driving.

When using the IDF's as TB's you could also check Megasquirt and Haltech as software.

Only IDF's, will look retro enough, for me.  "But" as tb's, I can tilt them any angle, to increase the tuned length, think cross-ram. Making my own inlet manifolds, I can have the stacks, cross each other.  Onward, roverman.
