Very nice, Martyn.  I too like the stance.  Along with the colour, it makes the car look a bit agressive from this viewpoint.  I credit you with helping me make the final decision to start with a conversion.  It started with me poking around in and under your car in your garage one wet and cold day in Waterloo what seems like many years ago.

What Martyn neglected to mention is that he's joined the SBF crowd.

Great stance Martyn; beautiful car, I'm seriously considering painting my GT black, you can't beat that classy look.  Please do a "How-It-Was-Done."  While I was going through radiation treatments I aquired about everything I need to finish mine except a new gas tank; starting to run out of storage space.  Trying to get to Omaha too.

You acquire a TVR, then you want yank out the perfectly fine 350 Chevy engine, then you go and stick a F... motor in a perfectly fine MGB/GT. What is in the Canadian water?!!    

I think the stance is perfect, as well.  It just has too much ground clearance, for me.    

Martyn, Car looks great! Did you use the narrow Toyota 4X4 caliper with the stock rotor or the wider one with vented rotor? Proportional valve for rear disc?

I have not paid as much attention as I should have to how the crossmember strengthening has been accomplished since I had no intention of doing that (TR6). Now, I find that it may be necessary, and wonder: did you add additional structural cross pieces to the hollow section of the crossmember, or something else?

It is black........just black......it's all black, outside and in.
Test drive has been delayed due to leaking rad and brakes that just won't bleed.
I was doing great bleeding them until I ran the reservoir dry......now I'm thinking I have an air pocket in the master cylinder.
I can't get any fluid out of the rear bleed screws and the rear brakes won't work. My rad had some leaking issues where I had welded the brackets to hold the AC condenser. Hope to test drive next week end.

Rear brakes are overrated.  

My bad   :-)   Thought I saw a reflection of green in some of the paint shots...  :p    Looks fantastic!


RE:  brakes.  If you have some kind of Pressure Differential in the system, still, it may have just slid this to the other side (blocking off the rears).  Open up the fronts again and do a few pumps there and then go back to the rears and see if that changes anything.
