Has anyone ever cut and installed aerocatch latches on their vehicle?

If you're not familiar heres a picture - http://www.s-tuningparts.com/shop/images/Aerocatch3.jpg

I was so impressed with the quality of the valence purchased from Preform Resource that
I've decided to buy a rv8 hood skin. I'd like to use these latches that I have but
I'm a little nervous on getting a good fitment due to the curvature of the MGB hood.

Any advice?

Contact Dave Craddock at Preform and discuss.
If you're looking into a hood skin, you could also entertain the thought of one made from carbon fibre?

Those would be even nicer recessed.

Robert, you could do a bondo squeeze of the shape of the latch which would give you a slightly raised area for the latch, but I think Carls' suggestion of sinking it into the hood would be a good idea, more difficult,,,,but a good idea. We could do that for you
if you knew exactly the location for them. Also I would put aluminum tabs on the back edge as we did on Curtis hood so the
hood locates at the proper height and you only need latches in the front. My guess is that those latches are not cheap !!

Check the website for Aerocatch, they make a flush mount latch with the flange dropped down so that it can either be bonded or screwed in from the bottom of the panel. And yes Dave, they're not cheap, about $70 a pair for the least expensive ones.
