Jim, I notice it but not in a bad way.  I think this is one of those things where you know there is something but can't put your finger on it.

I think it looks OK with the 2" added. It was for a good cause and reason.

 I bet that felt real good getting out on the track again. Congrats on your progress and not letting the passed stop you Dale.

Looking good Dale! I'm sure it was a great feeling to be driving the car. Shouldn't be too much longer before you're on the road again.  
I think that the extra two inches is noticeable to me perhaps only because I'm aware of it.  Probably most people won't notice that it's had a bit of a stretch.

I forgot about the stretch and didn't notice it. Once you pointed it out I remembered and saw it. I think if you had street wheels and rubber that filled the opening it would be less obvious.

Paint it & park it next to Ted's.  Then, we can watch & see who notices. I think it is very subtle.

Very nice setup! Looks like some fat was taken off too?

I want to make a fiberglass front bumper.  I need a steel bumper to use as a mold.  I have been looking for some time and have not found a cheap one.  Rust is no problem since it will be used as a mold only.  I would be interested in "renting" one that I would return when I am finished if anyone knows someone that wants to entertain that idea.  I need a early one before the rubber blocks were added.

Is that front "clip" all in steel?

Would it not make more sense to have glass fibre (the whole lot) front, top and bottom valance and wings? Could still all be built up as one clip.

Yes it is all steel.  The hood will be fiberglass.  I wanted a working hood and I thought that if I also wanted a removable front clip going with steel would be more durable.  If I were to start over I might rethink that.

Hey Dale:

Good to see that you are getting the beast back on the road.  I notice from the photos that you have a 5 bolt wheels as opposed to the standard Triumph 4 bolt pattern.  What did you use to convert this?  I know the rear end is either a 8" or 9" so that is the Ford 5 bolt pattern but what did you use for the front?

Also, I plan to use a Ford 9" but still debating whether or not I will design a  new rear sub frame or do something similar to what you did.

What do you recommend?

Here are a few pictures of the new interior.  The pictures are not very good.  The color is a light gray which is going to require a lot of cleaning I am afraid.  I still have a lot of paint work to do before the car will be finished.

The interior, windows, seats,carpet, etc are now installed.  The doors are on and adjusted.  The dog house is painted and ready to set in place.  I idled the engine to get it good and hot so that I can retorque the head and look for leaks which I did find one minor one.  Things are looking good.

I hear "Stretch" is back together & on the road. We need a completed pic to finish this thread.  

I took a few but they did not turn out well.  I will try again.

I have had the car back on the road and the dragstrip for about 3 months now.  I have been doing more drag racing then anything trying to get it back to where it was.  The last couple of times out it was running 10.9s.  Need to get another .1 out of it.  Here are a couple of pictures.
