I spent the better part of the day Friday detailing my car for the NSRA Street Rod Nationals south. The show grounds are about 25 minutes from my house. About ten minutes from home, it started raining. It quit raining about 5 minutes from the show. When I got there, the car was dirtier than it was when I started cleaning it on Friday.

I don't know Dan... Around here we'll take any rain we can get.  We had a little earlier in the spring but it"s shaping up to be another dry summer.  Lakes are already starting to drop.

Your car & the Roadmaster both look great! You must have cleaned them up once you got there.

I feel your pain, living here in the Pacific Northwest! Maybe I'm getting old, but I notice that I'm skipping more car shows for the very reason that you mentioned!

With those two cars sitting side by side, I have no doubt that you guys nearly monopolized the show!

Dan, I'm glad the street rodders liked the MG contingent, I'm sure they recognized all the after market goodies you guys are running!

Dave,

It was interesting to see the reactions of the others. Some spotted the cars right away and came over to check them out. Some were just walking by and did a doubletake when they saw the V8s, and then decided to check them out. Every one seemed to be impressed with them. We heard no negative comments at all, which is pretty impressive for that crowd.

Attendance was way down this year, but there were still a ton of fantastic cars, of all types and descriptions, including this '51 Mercedes (that ought to drive the MB purists up a wall). I didn't identify the V8 in it, but as you can see, it had mulible carbs on it (and a lot of chrome!).
