Honda in Spitfire/MGB?

I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone who has done a Honda V6 transplant into a Spit or MGB?  Obvious hurdle is mating a traditional manual trans in a North/South orientation so the package is adaptable to a RWD car.  Engine I am thinking of is a J35A4 or J35A8.  Thanks for any and all help.

Which V6?  Some were longitudinal.

Have you considered a Honda K24 4cyl?  There is a kit to turn those the "correct" way.

The package looks pricey but all you would need to buy from them is the parts to connect the Mazda Miata transmission to the engine.  You would not need the other stuff to make this thing work in a Miata.
