I sat here this morning fiddling with this computer and looking out the window, April 9th and we got about 5 inches of snow overnight, I have 8 bird feeders and 2 deer feeders in the back yard and they have been under attack for the last 2 hours. All the seed that usually gets knocked out and lays on the ground is covered by snow and the feeders are empty, probably cleaned out by those pesky squirrels. It's 13 degrees outside and the birds are sitting on the bushes under the window staring at me. All right all ready I'll get dressed and leave my warm home load up 2 - 5 gallon buckets and venture out into this white wasteland and fill your lousy feeders, are you happy now

OK !!! this is just pathetic I also have 4 suet feeders that I didn't fill because, IT'S COLD OUT THERE, and I didn't feel like taking off my gloves and fiddling with little containers. I'm sitting here in the window and the woodpeckers are hanging on the frames pecking at little scraps of suet and trying to force me back outside to put cakes in their little cages. That's it I'm closing the curtains.

Wow Tony, we feel for you. here in lower middle Tn., it got down to 40 degrees F. and I had to return to long pants.  Flora is green and Fauna is moving, turkey season opened at the end of March.  Just keep pluggin away and all will be ok once you get down to Townsend.  "Smokies" are beautiful in the springtime.

Uhmmm. hate to say it from the frigid north, but.
Haven't seen snow for more than a year, and it's 23'C or 74'F here today.
Just sayin.....from Canada.

Hey, we had maybe an inch of snow and then it stayed cold for a couple days. Still not really what I would call warm. I don't much care for these cold snaps just when it was getting nice. I doubt the squirrels and birds do either.

The deer herd that feeds off the feeders in the back yard look like a few have lost some weight recently. I'm keeping my eyes on the pine thicket and brush to see if I can catch a glimpse of the new fawns.
