Make plans now to attend the Fifth Annual "October in Townsend" informal Fall Gathering of V8, V6, I4, I6 and other performance enhanced British car aficionados at the Talley Ho Inn, Townsend, TN, October 1-4. Note that we've added a day this year, by popular demand, arriving Thursday evening and leaving Sunday morning. Of course, you're welcome to come early and leave late if you wish, or come late and leave early if that's all your schedule will allow. Rooms at the Talley Ho Inn have been blocked out for us for arrival on either the 1st or the 2nd.  (Note: Talley Ho is full. See post below for more info.)

Our plans/schedule/registration data: Show up, have a great time, go home, with a heavy emphasis on "have a great time." This is a strictly informal, make it up as we go, type of event. The only thing for sure is you will have a lot of fun with a bunch of great people, drive on a bunch of great sports car type roads with great scenery, consume some great beverages, and eat some great food.

Yes.  There is Ford Falcon group at the Talley Ho.

Jim Watson says to book a room at the Townsend Gateway Inn next door. It is just on the other side of the Carriage House restaurant.

There may be some space available at the house that Rich Moor always reserves. Only two full baths (plus half bath upstairs), though, so we have to share them.

Hi all i want to try to make it on Friday my car club Plateau British Car Club is attending a car show at the Allardt TN pumpkin fest on Sat. and to the German restaurant for Oct fest. any ideas what maybe happening Friday and what time?

This is a "make it up as you go" event, nothing is planned at all.

There is a weekly cruise-in at the Foothills mall every Friday evening, so that is a possibility.

FYI, the Townsend Gateway Inn had a wedding cancel so they have rooms available if anyone is in need. It's right next door to the Talley Ho.

I reserved a room at the Riverstone Lodge this morning for $79. They still have vacancies, as does the Highland Manor ($89). Townsend Gateway said they had nothing available.

Question about the Fall Gathering.  Do you ever send the British V8 events to the Moss Motoring Event Calendar?  Might be a way to generate more interest in our hobby.

The Fall Gathering is an informal GT (get together) of friends. It is not a full blown Meet. Come on down & visit us!

What Carl said. The "formal" V8 meet will be held in Townsend in May, and information will be be posted on various sites.Registration forms and schedule will be posted on this site, under "meetings," later this year as details are finalized.
