I vaguely recall reading somewhere that one of the advertisers sells the reinforcements that run from the forward spring hanger to the cross member.  I know I could make them, I'm at a point where I'd rather save a little time anyway (if they're not too expensive of course).  Anyone recall who does them & about what they cost?

Rob,
There is an article (The British V8 Newsletter - Volume XII, Issue 3 - September 2004)
that covers doing the mod yourself.

I think I recall that there are two off-the-shelf sources: Ted at Fast Cars and also Adrian Akhurst in Australia. (Isn't he mentioned in the article?)

I imagine chrome-bumper and rubber-bumper cars would need two different designs (because the cars start with two different forward spring-mounting positions) and also that many people would want to come up with a hybrid design to accommodate anti-tramp bars.

Thanks guys, Kelly Stevenson sent me a really slick & simple approach using 2x3 square tube, some simple cuts & holes...  That's what I'll be doing.

These two photos of Kelly's (box-tubing) reinforcements already appear in the BritishV8 Photo Gallery section...

Tony, ck your personal e-mail.   sent to tony at batesfamily dot net

I just updated the address above to make it non-functional. Guys, please don't put actual e-mail addresses in posts on the board. Message boards like ours get searched daily by spammers looking for new leads. The "private message" system is actually the best way to send a personal message, unless attachments are required. Even then, if you want to tell someone your e-mail address the best way to do so is inside a private message. -Curtis
