Stealthy exhaust ideas for Ford 5.0 TR4A

Hi Folks,

First post on this forum - I have had my 4A for nearly a decade and have made the decision to freshen it a little and complete a reposer at the same time. I have just acquired a mildly built 5.0 Ford and T5 from a GT mustang - the car has been stripped for racing and although very fast was not built for looks! The exhaust system, although new, is ridiculously loud and will not be reused. I have acquired a good set of cast iron Tiger manifolds to get the exhaust out of the engine bay cleanly, but would really appreciate any advice you folks might be able to share on the best choices for mufflers to end up with a fairly quiet dual exhaust set up - a healthy rumble is OK, but I don't want to feel like I am back in high school every time I hit the gas.

I know for a fact that I won't be coming anywhere near the build quality exhibited in Calvin's TR6 - Beautiful as it is. Out here we have a lot of dirt and gravel roads that take their toll on nice paint, but provide endless opportunity for enjoyment. I have heard other recommendations for the Borla exhaust but no nothing about the Dynaflow. Looks like I now have two to research.

The new muffler is a Dynomax, Dynaflow is an old Buick automatic transmission.

Definitely sticking with a T5 rather than a Dynaslush!
Speaking of Dynamat, I have used that on my little TR10 and was planning to on the 4A as well. Any other suggestions for heat and noise control?

Yep! Just peel off the backing and stick them on the bottom of the car, don't even need hangers.
