Hello All

I found your forum whilst searching for information on Buick 300 alloy heads and thought I'd post up a few pics of my car which, these days, is a British V8 :)

It started life as a humble 1300cc Escort but has changed a little now - it's running a 3500cc Rover V8 / Buick 215 with a high lift cam, balanced bottom end, lightened and balanced flighwheel, offenhouser inlet maniold and a Holley 390cfm carb (although that is going to be replaced by a 500cfm Edelbrock soon.

Hey - that's really cool!!! Thanks for checking in and for sharing photos.

We need to get you to write-up a "How It Was Done" article for our online magazine, and to submit more detail and construction photos so we can feature the car properly in our gallery.

Have you found our How It Was Done template yet? It's here: http://www.britishv8.org/British-V8-How-To-Contribute.htm
And here's a list of other How It Was Done articles: http://www.britishv8.org/British-V8-How-It-Was-Done.htm

Hi Andy,
That's a sharp looking Escort.
I suspect that people who race against you, don't much like your car.
Have a look at http://www.barrygrant.com/demon/default.aspx?page=14 or http://www.barrygrant.com/demon/default.aspx?page=5d
It is my understanding that these are the state of the art in american carb technology. Many Ford small block powered road racing cars use them.
