The drives were beautiful, Hog Heaven was , well, heaven (and we Texans know our BBQ!), and the parking lot camaraderie was as good as ever.

Donna and I had a great time at our first British V8 Meet. The British V8 crowd was very welcoming despite the fact we were driving a rented Mustang with a V6 Uggg! We would like to make next years event but we already have plans for next summers vacation. We hope to have an air conditioned TR6 with V8 and five speed by the 2016 Tennessee event. I'm sure Carl Floyd knows some great winding roads through the Tennessee countryside. We also wanted to say thanks again Larry for the suggestion on the return trip to take the back roads leading to Colorado Springs from the Clive Cussler Classic Car Museum. The car museum was great but the trip back lead us past picturesque farms that made the trip extra special. I'm sure it was your way of showing the crowd why you live in the Colorado Springs area and maybe boasting a little. Rightfully so. Thanks again for organizing such a great event. I've included two pictures of our TR4A that we did not bring to the event. I don't think Donna's heart could have handled that car climbing Pikes Peak. I'm sure our carbureted Automatic Overdrive Equipped 302 Ford V8 couldn't have made it up anyway.

I drove my TR6 to Breckenridge for the 2001 VTR convention and had a great time driving those fantastic roads, driving as high as 14,000 feet or more. Spectacular location. The roads here max out at around 6,000 ft, so they may seem a bit wimpy after Colorado. Nevertheless, we have "The Tail Of The Dragon," a very exciting and world famous stretch of road with 318 curves in 11 miles -- 318 TIGHT CURVES!   Rest assured, Carl does indeed know some wild and wooly back roads from his days being chased through the hills by revenours when he was running moonshine (or so rumour has it). Follow him for a while and you will get all the thrills you can handle. Especially if a challenge has been issued by the Blackwood brothers, Mike Moor, Pete Mantell, Ken Hiebert or Katie Hermackowitz for best time.

Tennessee ain't the Rockies, but they are still badass for fun driving. You will have a ball here, We - Jim Watson and myself - guarantee it.

Thanks for all your hard work getting our 2014 BV8 meet up and running. Our family had a great time with everyone that attended this years meet. Ken and I did attend the autocross with the Corvette club. We both did well considering we use street tires, and our times were in the middle of the group. "Thanks again to Al Wolf for bring this to our attention".

The drives were stunning to the eye, the directions were spot on, and easy to follow.

Looking forward to the next long haul back east for 2015 meet

Thanks Larry for bringing us out to Colorado Springs. Your organization of the event was superb and Katie and I now have a much greater appreciation for that area of Colorado.
We stayed in the state for a couple of more days, touring around. Unfortunately, a 4X4 truck backed into my parked TR6 in a campground parking lot. His bumper and trailer hitch did the damage. I'm in contact with his Allstate agent and things are moving along. Bummer....

1st time experience with the British V8 folks.  Very enjoyable trek and nice preparation Larry.  Very nice folks and I enjoyed meeting you all, even with the downer of learning my mother had passed while I was traveling.  The condolences offered were appreciated.  My car got me there and back without a hiccup even tho the 100+ degree temps occasionally tested the cooling system.  Hope the Rover V8 with A/C is up for one of these trips someday.
