Hi Guys

Ive just found this site, so have joined. I'm from and live in the UK, and I thought I would post something you may be interested in.

Ive successfully transplanted a 20 year old Sebring Healey Replica body on to a full 1991 TVR Tasmin Chassis. This TVR Chassis uses a 4ltr V8 Rover tuned to 275bhp, a 5 speed rover box, Jag LSD axel and it's of a space frame construction. Both Body and chassis share the same wheel base. Photos shown are of the original car and body, and then the body and chassis just before I put it together for the final time after many months work getting it all to fit.

This car will be finally finished in a month or so time.

Welcome to BritishV8, Kevin.

That's certainly a VERY, VERY cool project!

I hope you'll bless us with many more photos and an article write-up when it's all sorted. (I especially enjoy close-ups of design and fabrication details.)

Buick 215 w/ Rover heads, custom EFI & crank-fired ignition.

Hi Curtis

Thanks for the welcome, and I'm glad it works for you.

I have a blog on Facebook which is easily copied on to here, so no problem with extra info and photos, the project look is not going to be the typical classic Healey copy, but more of a mild retro rod, with the agressiveness of a Tvr. It's also built to be long range, hill climb, track day, bit of drag racing as I like to drive.

Also one more point, this project will have a MGB roadster windscreen, mg midget quarters / door windows and the full roadster mk2 drop down hood, just to keep it interesting and of course 100% British v8

Hi Guys

Let's start with the finish article; the only thing on this car that is original Healey, is the Mk 3 Radiator Grille, but still apart from the tyres the rest is still 100% British and of course a V8, be it shoe horned in from underneath!
