Yes, I know it's not V8, but what if it was V12? We've read about the Jag, but Buick built a "Freight Train", V12. It also had a "little", more power. Word on the street, actually on the strip, is an IRL. team is trying to sell (2), all alum. Turboed/Intercooled, put-puts @ 1,700hp/ea.  Let's see here, take-out Jag V12 and....................Jus' let me know first so I can buy some "term" insurance on you."
