Any body have any pictures of a Hood cowl for a B? I am in the middle of trying to cover the beast within.

Dennis,

My hood cowl is on an MGA but the concept is the same.  The engine bay is so small in an "A" that we had to vent heat from the motor.  We are not using the cowl to bring fresh air into the carb.

Dennis, with the amount of coverage you need as far as height and depth go I think I'd try something similar to the idea Jeb showed, but longer and blended into the front of the hood area. Morespeed Performance makes a modified C type hood that would probably clear your engine, but making your own isn't terribly difficult if you have a minimum of metal working skill. I did a pretty large bulge in my Midget hood to clear the fuel injection using panels cut from an old hood I picked up at a swap meet.

Well got the cowl done what you think?
