Hi from Stony Plain, Alberta.

Thought you might be interested in a vehicle I built recently.

I grafted some fiberglass RV8 panels onto an MGB for a customer.

Acid dipped the MGB body, strengthened it up, tubular shocks all round, uprated suspension, 8" Currie rear end with posi, tan leather interior, 5.0 Ford with Tremec T5, custom dash etc.

Cheers, GavinR.

Awesome! Beautiful green.

Have any pics of the strengthening that you did?
Carl

Nope, sorry.  Mainly just the customary extensions to the front spring mounts and seam welding the whole shell.

The work is beautiful & from the pics on the MG Experience board it looks likey you really spent a lot of time getting the fiberglass panels to fit right.  I wonder how much impact replacing the fenders & rear quarters completely with fiberglass like that has on the integrity of the unibody's strength.

Where did you get the parts for your build? And what kind of head lights are those. Very nice work.

Thanks.

Panels were John Hills, headlights are Jeep Liberty.

GavinR,

What a beautiful RV8 mod you have created from a MGB !  The RV8 is the most beautiful of the MG's.

Your fibreglass work is astounding, not to mention the chassis work and all the other details.

You have a real work of art there and I would love to see it in person someday.  Do let us know if you ever plan to display the beauty at a meet or show.

r'grds,

Phillip G
