Anyone able to ID this T5 tag

Supposed to be from a 2003 Mustang...

Rob, Should be a different tag starting with 1352-. If it is a 2003 it will have the 3.35 first. V6's had the T5, the V8's had the T45 with integral bellhousing.

Tried to ID the part no and found this on ebay
Part no.  8R33-7003-BB
2005-2010 Mustang 4.0L V6 New Tremec Transmission with 10 spline, fixed flange, 3.75, 2.19,1.41,1.00, .72, Reverse 3.53

Don't believe it is T5.  Looks to be a TR-3650.  What is that digit before the R33?

Something still isn't adding up.  Here's a pic of the transmission.  Pretty sure 3650's have integrated bell housings.  This one has a separate bell.  A buddy of mine bought this for his 302 swap; the tag and this pic are all I've seen so far.  Have asked him to send me a side view of it.  It does look like a T5 from this angle.  The 1st row on the tag is 2R33 7003 BB.  2nd row is TTET1955 10822 A1531

Pretty sure that 2R33 7003 BB is a FORD part no - as a last resort, you can call your local Ford Dealership Parts Dept

I have seen a number of TR-3650 pics that show that it bolts to the bell housing. It seem the bolts are inside the tranny, though. (Edit.  Makes sense to call it integrated, since it doubles as the front cover).  Glad I run GM parts.  ;)

Now that we have seen the front of the trans, I agree, it is definitely a T5.  My understanding is that it had to come from a V6 & the gear ratios are  3.35, 1.93, 1.26, 1.00, .068

That TREMEC transmission tag chart is a couple of years newer than the T5 in question.

Bolt pattern says Ford & from what I gather, the 7003 means Mustang.

Going by the build date on the tag  A1531
A - January
15 - 15th
3 - 2003
1 - first shift

.......which would support the application being a 2003 vehicle.
Easy enough to do an output to input ratio count in all gears to determine the ratios.

Still waiting for side view pic, but everything is pointing to T5 from 2003 Mustang as my buddy was told... which is good because he bought it before decoding the tag.

From my records: The 94-95 year Mustangs were the last for the T5 behind a v8. Those two years had a longer input shaft and deeper
bell housing to accommodate a revised shifter location. The T5 was used with the V6 after that, and has the longer input shaft as well.
These V6 transmissions are, as referred to before, 3.35 first and a .68 overdrive. These V6 transmissions have the upgraded 300 ft/lb rating.
I cannot tell from the first picture, but i think it shows the domed cover without the neutral switch, which makes it at least a 96 or newer-
well, the cover anyway. So many of these have been built from a collection of parts that it can be hard to tell for sure. (mine is)
They also have the reverse brake, which I have, but the usefulness is lost on me as the old habit of shifting into a forward gear before selecting
reverse just won't go away.

Side view.  Definitely T5.  Looks to have electric VSS so everything seems to be consistent with seller's statement of 2003 Mustang.  Just got a text saying he picked it up for just $100 too!

As another check for build year (assuming that Tremec followed the BW dating scheme), there is a build year identifier cast on the top cover . Here's a photo of my spare T5 built in 1990..."90" embossed in the casting.

What's cool to me is folks don't seem to have caught on that these V6 T5's are WC spec & same gear ratios as the fox body units.  So they're a cheap source of transmissions (as long as the 3.35 1st gear works for you).
