Art,

I just popped a disc in the mail with the PhotoShop files for you. Keep me posted. I'm happy to make "adjustments" to the rendering if you'd like. Just let me know.

Good ! "If" i can get the head room, I may lay that windshield back(bolts on). Huffaker fenders will alter the look,(buffed). I'm considering a genuine "Hemi Shaker" scoop, perhaps backwards. Car will be black with silver accents. Thanks, roverman.

Sharp lookin car! can't wait to see pics of the real thing!

Thanks Chris, I consider that a genuine compliment from a "real" Healey owner. I think the word is synergism ? In other words, in this case, the photoshop talent of David T. and my wild and crazy ideas(vision). The real test is living up to the dream. To be continued, roverman.

That is a great rendering!  I'm sure it will be a awesome car!  I was stumbling across the internet and found a picture that looked very familiar and can't help but think it was influencial on the design of the Jensen.  I'm sure the "The Avengers" was even bigger in the UK than it was in the States.

It's influenced me to order some new spring perches for the back of my Jensen GT so shorter normal springs can be installed to replace the pigtails without cutting them.  This GT only has 6800 miles so don't want to change anything too much but lowering it can only be good!   I'm afraid the engine will remain stock for the same reason.  It's very strange to work on this car because the only issue is surface rust on the bits that weren't fully painted.  All of the rubber parts are like new. The car was so rust proofed from the factory that it's surprising that more didn't survive.  It has a bunch more than the Jensen Healey that I used to have.

Bill, Thanks for the pic's. Is that a full custom JH done-up for the "Avengers" ? It looks quite different from the (production) models. I do not remember it. Wow, 1 got by me. I'm almost suprised we haven't seen a JHiccup GT,(Jensenmino). Cheers, roverman.

Sorry, forgot to mention it was a AC428!  There is a bunch of information on the internet about it.  I'd never seen one or even heard of one before.   Sure looks like a JH to me.   I haven't started the motor in my GT and almost hoping it blows up so I can put something with a little more power in it!  ( not really )

I love your Jensen GT. Back in the 1980s I bought one in a bad state and after adding a wife followed by a baby I later sold it unfinished.
What are the shut lines round the bonnet like? On mine it was impossible to adjust it to line up with the wings properly.

Thanks David,
I consider myself very lucky to have found a GT in such great shape after so many years.  Other than surface rust on mechanical components and a lot of dirt outside the car is amazing!  On this car the bonnet fits really good but as far as I can tell it is just like it left the factory with no crashes or body rot.  With the way it is built I can't imagine trying to start from scratch lining up the body parts after time and rust has attacked it.  The bonnet is truly a massive piece of sheetmetal!

Does anyone know if the AC428 was an influence on the design of the Jensen Healey?  It's hard not to notice the similarity.
I realize this question is probably better posed at JHPS website but I can't help but think that it might be of interest on this website and frankly I have more cars with V8's in them then with 4 cylinders!

Cheers,
Bill

Is it possible Jensen reps were shopping the Italian design studios(over the shoulder), so to speak and spied such a design ? As we know the Intercepter was designed there and somewhat similar in spec to the AC 428. This has little to compare with a current JH project, code named AC 6.1.  Cheers, roverman.

Hey Roverman,
Any update on the JH Special?
I've been looking at all the JH mods out there and been trying some of my own.  I've even thought about trying a prototype tribute of one I saw in an old issue of the JHPS newletter

My 74 JH, 217 HP at the wheels 2.2 L lotus twin cam. this would have made the old Healey guys sit up and take notice!!

Hi Dan, nice little-known insider info ! Nothing real exciting to report. I'm still gathering parts and services for "Jensen Jackal", listed in this forum. Had the 340" Mopar V8 bored, steel crank, aluminum "Eddy" heads. Got the correct bell housing to direct bolt to Turbo Supra 5 speed. Rabbit steel flares, all around and a glass hood. Weight maybe 2,300 ?  Cheers, Art.
