Sigh....just got my 93-95 GM 3.4 V6 engine and T-5 installed in my 1969 along with a new 18 gal aluminum gas tank plus all the new wiring and plumbing.
I had the car taken over to an exhaust shop this morning for a new system and when I get it back home I plan on starting it for the first time.
While on the hoist at the shop I noticed a small drip forming on underside right where the gearbox mates with the extension housing. Should i be worried?
The guy that did the transmission rebuild had good reputation, should I try gently to see if I can tighten the bolts a little more or is that now a lost cause.
I really don't want to have to pull the whole set up back out again.   I filled the transmission through the shifter opening and at the 3 quart mark there was nothing coming out of the level hole.

Is there any possibility of spillage when you filled it?
It may have just followed the seam down to the bottom of the trans.

t5 trans takes just a little over 2 quarts any more thay leek 2 quarts is all I ever run

Lots of us run close to 3 quarts without issue. Once upon a time there was a GM service bulletin that instructed techs to add more fluid.

The official fill level is 2.8 quarts according to my gm info.

My T5 trans took just about 3 quarts before it started to run out the fill hole but my tranny is not a WC. I have only put a few hundred miles on it and as of now it seems to be ok. I'm still working out a few bugs but she sure runs better with this engine than I expected. Michael when you get her going it's going to be about more fun than one should have.

Phillip, thanks for the encouragement, I need it with all the problems I am experiencing, see my other posts. At least the engine seems sound, 75 psi oil pressure at start in 80 degree weather, dropping down to around 70 when engine is hot.

I noticed your post about the HTOB.  Did that HTOB require the shaft collar to be replaced?  If so, it's quite possible that your leak is coming from there.  I have an HTOB and have been battling a leak in that area.  Just a thought.
