My tank just arrived this afternoon.  I could hear something rattling around inside so I removed the access cover and used my lighted endoscope to have a look around inside.   I discovered a loose lock nut and managed to retrieve it with magnetic probe. While in there I also noticed that the  float swing arm is locked in place with a set screw.    Now I'm worrying that the lockout came off the end of the setscrew...and I am installing the tank this weekend so if anyone knows if there should be a locknut on the set screw please let me know ASAP

that arm should move freely, take out the sending unit and check it out. otherwise the nut may go on the nylon piece that the wire passes through into the tank. hope that helps. have any more questions pm and ill answer immediately.

Got this solved, Todd got back to me to confirm what I had already discovered and I installed the lock nut back on the set screw where it was intended to be.
