I hope you guys are all following Ken's progress on his Jag in the project journal. Since you can't comment there, I had to start a thread to just say:  "WOW". Who doesn't love an xke, but this.... this..... I'm speechless. Beyond cool. Ken, I really admire your fabrication skills, kudos on the work to date. Impressive.

I was talking to Ken on Sunday April 19th at Ancaster On  kinda outside of Toronto by around fourty miles. It's a swap meet for British cars and our first event of the season. We were all looking at his TR6 with the LS v8 in it  when one chap came over to see what was the big deal. When he saw this v8 stuffed into a TR6 ,,his eyes popped.Needless to say he was impressed with the level of workman ship on Kens first project. For those of you who know of Ken's Jag project, but not the TR6  you can have a gander at that on the How it was Done pages on  the website. .Its more than wonderful also.

Yes, and several of us have driven that car. It is quite well done.

Driven it, done burnouts in it (with Ken's blessings, of course). The TR6 has a LT1 350, though. (iron block). His Jag will have LS power.

Good to see you at Ancaster Tim. I've had an add in Kijiji, (Craigslist equivalent) for about two years looking for a better brake booster for the Jag. No luck using the add but found one at Ancaster for a reasonable price. Success! Ancaster is when we Canadians come out of our winter hibernation.

The TR6. I think I must have had 30 people drive that puppy. I'd much rather see a happy burn out than flat spotting the tires into the "stop box".

With 100,000 km's on the TR6 LT-1 conversion, the car is needing some attention right now, Namely:
-both motor mounts
-3 issues with the steering shaft, (none that would lead to failure)
-intake manifold, (annoying oil leak)
-serpentine belt idler pulley
-ignition wires, (corroded at coil)
-front suspension service including upper ball joints and steering rack gaiters.
I have another wish list for the TR6 as well. Prioritise.

I'm really anxious to start hammering away on the Jaguar but it will have take a number and stand in line for now.
Thanks to Curtis for shuffling the Project Journal threads into their respective groups.
Happy busy.

The best sealer for the China rails on your LT1 is a product called "The Right Stuff" . Try it and you won't have any leaks

Good luck getting things back apart, though!  ;)
