Wikipedia says 509 total produced.  It will be a little slow at 2,436 lbs and maybe 130 smogged hp. ? As I recall, "Fred Key" built a hot turbo motor. Fred ? Things I should watch-out for ? Thanks, roverman.

One word to watch out for ... rust.  maybe not a problem in california, but out here the GT seemed to rust like a Fiat.  I always found them attractive, though.

Reportedly , the GT's were rust and sound proofed much better than the roadsters. They sold for about double $'s. You should get more than a useless rear seat and a small wagon-right ?  Cheers, roverman.

I looked at one in the early 80s with the idea of using it as a daily driver.  It had a reported 20,000 miles on it.  When I saw it, the entire lower 1/4 of the car was rusty and bondoed over.  New England winters are tough on LBCs.  I still am strangely attracted to them.  Probably not much different than those that prefer the MGB-GT over the roadster.  Of course, the Jensen GT didn't carry the "Healey" name on them, so that should make it less valuable :-)

Owner is claiming .5" x 2" rust problem, in floor. A problem snow belt people only dream about ? He's asking 1K, now I "halft" to see it. Onward, roverman.

Thank God it's on your side, otherwise I'd be dragging it home and living in the back when I got kicked out of the house.

So did you drag it home or not?  Suspense is killing me!  I've got my eye on a really odd little car but it's close to home and I'm stuck in Canada and then Missouri for another week. If it's still there when I get back it will be a sign that I should get it and add to my to do list. Anyone know when is a good time to retire?  With taxes going up and real income going down it almost seems like it might be the right time.

Bill and clan, I suffered an agonizing bout of "sanity" at the sight of the forelorn GT. I had to pass. It might go for $500. ? Anybody out there, need some "dog house time-out" ? In a desperate bid, to break with tradition... I sold some JH parts, last night.  Am I loosin- it ? Cheers, roverman.
