Hey guys, some of you have sebring front valances, I just bought the frontline costello valance. To install it flush with the front fenders and run with no bumper it looks like it needs spacers, what have you guys done to fit the sebring valances? Do you have any pictures of installation? thanks,
Randy

Might help to know whether RB or CB car, roadster or GT.

While I can't speak specifically to the Costello piece, I think you will find that the majority of folks will say that the fit of most of the "Sebring" valances with the exception of Dave Craddock's PreForm part, fit from poorly to abysmally.

To the best of my knowledge, none of these are true "bolt on" and require some type of finessing or massaging to fit correctly.

The car is a 72 chrome bumpered gt. I know I'm going to have to do some fitting to make it work, I was just wondering what's been done as far as spacers to bring it flush with the fenders and grill. I don't want to just use washers behind it as spacers. Thanks,
Randy

Maybe a pic or two of the mounting points would be helpful?

Randy I'm curious; where did you buy the Costello valance from?  I'm also interested.

Not 100% positive but this one is from Moss (matches the Costello part in their European catalog): http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=101341

Dave,

Thanks very much.

That's my buddy Rob doing that work. My skill sets don't extend that far.

Hey guys, yes its the moss motors sebring valence which they call "sebring valence with anti lift lip" but it is indeed the costello piece. I picked it up on the moss sale a few weeks ago since buying it straight from england would have been way more expensive due to shipping just that one piece. Moss can do it much cheaper because they ship huge crates of parts. Ill try to get a pic later.
thanks,
Randy

I took and built mine into the fenders and fabbed up the center section to be removeable for ease of assembly/ disassembly.
