Was watching one of the car programs on TV this morning - don't even remember which one, but they were showing a 69 Charger built right hand drive.  Anyway, they included a trick feature that would be perfect on our cars... Picture air cylinders at each corner with the ram pointing down... Flip the switch and they lift the car off the ground.  Could wire it to do just the front or just the rear.  Handy to get a jack under the front end or change a tire out on the road.  With the air shocks you engineered, seems like you could make these pretty easily.

I saw that one.  I think they were using it as a security feature on the Charger.

Maybe Brad.  I saw the part where they tested it.  It lifted high enough to get the back tires off the ground.  The fronts almost made it off the ground & the commented they'd need to make a spacer to lengthen the front rams (or whatever you call that part.  Looked like it'd be convenient for changing a tire &/or to get a jack under the front.

It's a neat idea but imho I think it's really more suitable to larger vehicles where you have more space to work with and can more easily tolerate the extra weight. If you had a serious need to frequently jack the car up it might be worth the trouble but I can't see there being all that much demand for it. These days wheels and tires (and roads) are good enough that flats are pretty infrequent.

And on that note, have you guys seen the new airless Michelin tires? If they get the noise problems solved flats won't be a problem.
