I have a 1974 1/2 MGB With Blown Chevy V8 with the stock B disk brakes, and using a Corvette booster/master cylinder. The rear brakes are Ford 9 inch truck and I need advise/recommendations to get more front braking power.

And you guys thought mine looked extreme?

The issue seems to be finding a rotor/caliper combination that works and is available and inexpensive, partly because the rotor does not use the lugs for attachment. If you check the articles on this site as well as the "How it was done" pages you should come up with some ideas you can use. They run from upgraded pads, through swapping out volvo rotors and princess calipers, to complete wilwood kits including new hubs. One detail worth mentioning here is that the wire wheel hubs are a turned billet part and as such can be re-flanged to mate with your choice of caliper and rotor. There are also some calipers that will bolt directly into place though I don't recall which ones.

I used '73 Mustang rotors and calipers, which seemed a good idea in 1980, but not now as I just bought a pair of the extremely few remaining rotors and those were performance aftermarket. Original NOS ones if you can find them will run nearly $150 each. Try to pick something that will be available for a very long time.

I had similar problems.  The Brake Pressure Multiplier solved the problem of pressure.  It cost $159 and was not difficult to install.

Jeb, looks like a neat product. Would make a good article for the newsletter and let everyone know about this as braking is a major item for all of us. It really does look like what I need for the Midget.
