Air Con

I've been thinking about the air conditioning components I will be needing for my BGT V8 project. I've been to the Vintage Air website but I'm wondering if anyone who has been down this road would have a record of all the parts required. If anyone has fitted an air con system to their B that has worked well for them I would really appreciate any advice or help.

Rick, when did you come across that? Looks like that evap box is designed to fit behind the dash w/o modifications... wish I'd have seen it before I did all the mods for the VintageAir unit!

Very interesting. Is there a place where we can get more info about that evap unit? Dimensions and views from all sides would really be helpful, as would a photo of it installed and notes on any necessary modifications to make it fit. For instance, does it fit behind the center of the dash? Does it tie into the cowl vent? Does it eliminate the OEM heater box or is it compatible with that?

This is the problem will all of the A/C units I've seen so far, there is no information except second hand from people who have tried to fit them in. In a case like this where it is touted as an MG unit, I need to know the details of how it fits and works before I'm dropping a grand or more on it.

I was thinking from the pics that it would fit behind the dash, but this pic from the deails page says it goes in the upper part of the passenger footwell area... the web page does say it can be tied into the existing vents or use seperate ones. You'd have to call them to find out details like whether the cowl vent remains functional if you tie the A/C into those vents.
