Rebuilding my Olds' 215 but cannot locate the original oil pump cover/filter mount. It has to be the original Olds' part with the parallel mounting and filter faces so the filter axis is parallel with the pump in order to fit in the available space.

The Rover mounts the filter facing forward and angled roughly 45° downwards but it interferes with the lower radiator hose...no good.

The Buick V6 mounts the filter parallel with the ground pointing diagonally off the front lower corner & touches the frame rail....again, no good.

I'm not sure about the Buick 215, it could be the same as Rover which won't work, or, the same as the Olds' with the parallel mounting faces, which will work (any advice will be much appreciated).

Can anybody help with this guys ? I'm sure someone must have an Olds' with a non standard filter mount or remote, with one of these going spare & collecting dust....just like mine is somewhere !

Also, I have extra Olds heads but without the rocker arms, shafts & posts.
Is there a source for these, does anyone know ?

Many thanks guys, Ed.

I got it from Speedway motors, part no.M-6880-A50 all correct threads, swivels so you can put it for most clearance

Does that work with the Buick/Olds/Rover V8s? Says it's for Ford.

I have a swivel oil filter mount on my Buick 215.  Bought it from Dan LaGrou 18 years ago.
