Adjusting fuel pressure

Hi,
I'd appreciate some advice on setting up the correct fuel pressure.  I have a TR7 with a warmed up 4.6 RV8 with Lucas 14CUX FI and a Tornado chip.  I've just overhauled the fuel system: surge tank, Bosch 254 911 pump which gives 4 bar pressure, new filter, new lines and an inline pressure gauge.  On the advice of Mark Adams (Tornado) I installed a manually adjustable fuel pressure regulator from a Jag XJS.  IN place of the vacuum line it has a screw which adjusts the pressure.  I set it to 30psi with the engine off and the pumps running.  Is this right?

I've also read in various places that these systems need somewhere between 50 and 60-something psi.  What is the correct number and how do I set this up?  I've scoured the web and can't find the information I want.  The car is my daily ride and I take it on weekend track days.

Cheers

Mike

As Mark developed the tune he would have done so based on a specific fuel pressure as this affects flow rate etc. No one here knows what Mark did so you will need to check with him.

Thanks Mike, he's a hard man to catch, but I'll give him a call.
