Broke two rods today

I welded them back up though, good as new.

(Did I ever say they were in an engine?)

They are stock Buick rods, either 300 or 340 I'm not sure which. They are on the tongue of the garbage scow I use to take cans to the road. I forgot it was hooked up and backed up too far and they just snapped. Forged would never have done that. Bent maybe. No more cast rods for me.

Std. Rods??  I'D expected Billet Carrillo type!  Shame on U.  Must have twisted the cart too tight :-)

Well now Mr. B, shudda nown better, those rods are only good for Hog Fodder, being made from "pig iron"....
