Rebuilt engine how tight is tight!!

Hi guys in process of building up Rover 3.9, everything has been checked as it's gone together ,all new beareings on mains and confide , all cibrid nipples facing each other etc, bores honed and new std rings fitted.

My question is I need appx 30lb torque to rotate the short engine, crank and 8 pistons fitted, timing chan and cam fitted but no lifters or heads.

Have heard of anything up to 40 is acceptable, but having only built 4 pots with less drag, can anyone give a opinion on resistance to be expected?
Certainly will turnover with half inch socket and normal length ratchet.

If you are using a beam style torque wrench what does it take to keep it spinning?  Hopefully half of that.  If so, then 30 to break free & 15 or so for constant is reasonable.

Also, consider variables such as piston rings (gapless or standard), shop temperature, viscosity of assembly lube, etc.

Thanks Carl , it is 30 to break free, there are no tight spots when turning and I have used redline build grease which is sticky
