Wanted - 4bbl intake for AMC 327 V8.

Nothing to do with British V8, sorry, but something you might have ticked away.

In a moment of madness, bought a 63 AMC Ambassador, rhd UK car,  which after 63,000 miles retains its original 2bbl Holley.
Seems it is not happy with ethanol - PO recounts the usual evaporation symptoms when sitting in traffic.
As an alternative to a rebuild and perhaps a heat isolator if there isn't one - car is not with me yet - would like to have the option to fit an Edelbrock 4bbl.

There was a factory 4bbl option. But over here in the UK, AMC parts are not exactly in good supply. Indeed, as I can see from the AMC forums, 4bbl intakes aren't that plentiful in the US.
Looking for any street intake that will fit the 327, alloy or even iron.

Ivor, will 327 engine accept later AMC intakes like 390/401 ? Those are readily available.  Good Luck, Art.

Thanks for the thought, sadly not.
I did in fact see a factory 327 intake on eBay, but the seller asks $175 airfreight, which is rather a killer at the current exchange rate. Perhaps an alloy version will appear, hopefully the shipping would be less.

It seems no one ships parcels by sea any more.

When the $ was at 1.6 all this seemed of little concern, but it's painful now.
Still, it must be more pleasant for you, buying parts made in the UK.
