Prelube Engine Oiler

I made a low cost engine pre luber from a water fire Extinguisher I found on Craigs List.

I used a 3/8" Flare fitting that I chucked in a cordless drill and fed into a belt sander to remove the flare. then used a 9/16" od copper washer to seal my modified fitting to the Extinguisher.

I made up a hose from the Extinguisher to the oil pump cover on my series 3 3800 V6 ( I replaced the oil pressure sending unit with a hose fitting )
I poured a gallon of oil into the tank pressurized it to 60 psi and let it rip.

I did pretty much the same thing as you did using a compressed oxygen bottle and some plumbing fittings. I ran the oil through a filter before it enters the engine. I like your solution better - much easier and cleaner. I had to use a pressure pre-lube because the LT1 engine doesn't have a distributor driving the oil pump.
