For those who have installed the LR 14CUX FI system I have some questions.

There are two multiplug connectors near the ECU connection inside the car, C216 and C217 in the elctrical manual. C216 has the main power inputs to the Main relay and Fuel pump relay. C217 looks to be for the Neutral safety switch, Cruise control, Error code, Security system etc. Which of the 20 wires from C217 did you have to use? The neutral switch, do you just connect to ground etc?

I don't have my car at the moment or any wiring diagram around but the neutral grounding is done through a 500ohm resistor if I'm remembering correctly then direct to ground, I have mine grounded at a wiper motor mounting bolt. The rest of the wires I'll have to check into.

Was able to remove most of the extra wires used for the one connector, C217. Did find the reference about the 500 ohm resistor for the neutral switch. After removing all the fan, ac compressor, starter circuit and fan timer relays there was a lot less wireing to worry about. Still not finished but much closer.

I think there are 5 wires to connectt, a hot lead to battery all the time, ignition power feed, fuel pump feed, ground, safety neutral ground ....roughly that should be it.

As ignition is fed from another source, Painless wire harness, only need neg from coil for RPM signal. Do need a switched power source still though. Want to add road speed sensor from my VDO speedo just not positive on signal requirements. Thing Vdo gives square wave at 9000 pulse per mile and 0-12 volts. Read ECU wants same but have also seen 0-5v.

So after another year I am finally installing my FI system. For those that have done it, how much clearance do you need between the plenum and hood?
I have machined the bottom of the trumpet stack 0.80" and the plenum 0.25". This has given me about 0.125" clearance as measured by clay. Just wondering if that will be enough for engine movement etc.
