Longshot of all longshots..

Im looking for the aluminum ribbed pulley set that D&D USED to sell. Long story short they arent currently making any more and they are out of stock.. Got a set you'd like to sell? Let me know.. Aftre years of collecting parts my  Pontiac Astre with Olds 215 project is moving along...

Tony, Have you considered the "late" oem Buick V6 serpentine parts ?  Your results "may" vary... Cheers, roverman.

Art.. Ive looked into that.. The problem I run into is that the water pumps on a true serpentine setup are reverse flow and the pulleys are driven by the backside (non ribbed side) of the belt.. I need a ribbed pulley there as I just want to run a ribbed belt like a standard and use the alternator to tension. I have yet to look into whether a Chevy or other pulley would work on a Buick water pump.

Pulleys are not hard to make if you have access to a lathe...

2 out of 3, ain't bad. OK buy oem on all but water pump. Make (1) pulley or adapt from Chev/etc. ?

Im going to check and see how a pulley from a "long" SBC water pump compares to a Buick 300 water pump pulley.. Im guessing they are both about 2".. If the holes line up I might be in business.. If I figure all of this out Ill post what worked.

Engine assembly is in progress finally.. Just the Olds 215 to start with... Since the car really isnt British I havent posted much about it here.. But you can look at some of the progress by clicking the link below.

I went and looked through all options that would work with my swap and the only combination i came up with that could possibly work would spin the pump at 133% of crankshaft speed.. ( stock Buick 300 is 85%).. The Aluminum V-8 in a Vega is a tight swap from the pump to the radiator. so stock Buick V-6 stuff wont work...

I could machine those old March pulley as mentioned above but will that much increase in water pump speed be an issue/ There wont be a fan mounted so i wouldnt have to worry about blades flying loose..

Tony, it really depends on whether you plan to run it up to redline or operate at high rpm for extended periods. If not, I wouldn't worry about it.
