Hello, I have a '68 Spitfire with a 302, 4 speed and 9 in rear, I'd like to know the best/easiest way to beef my front end to handle the extra weight. Was told the stock will snap/break with all that extra weight.

Thanx

The Gt6 motor weighed as much or more than the 302.  I would just use the GT6 springs and make sure bolts and bushings are good.

The GT6 motor weighs 35 pounds MORE than a Ford 302 with aluminum heads. Iron heads add about 40-45 pounds to the Ford. A T5 weighs about ten pounds more than the GT6 transmission. I don't know about the four-speed or the Spitfire engine.
