Or in a tunnel running a couple of gears lower than you really have to.

This quote from Phil reminded me of driving the Roadmaster on I-77 from VA to WVA. It sounded so good I looped around and went through the tunnel two more times.

Awhile back, I was asked what the "British V8" on my t-shirt was about. I described us as a bunch of elderly teenagers.

This is a great thread. Some very fine music indeed!

Old timers may know this next suggestion as a Bo Diddley song, but I prefer Lonesome George's version:

The video reminded me of my first rock concert: George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers at the old Warner Theater in downtown DC. (Such a great venue!) It was Thanksgiving weekend, and The Destroyers were on their epic and now legendary "Fifty states in fifty days" tour. Obviously, DC isn't a state - earlier that same day they had played Baltimore, and then they played DC, starting real late and playing loud and strong right through the wee hours of the morning. (More about it here.)

Richard/SIA

Huh?

No mention of "I can't drive 55"?
It's my life's theme song!
Been in that court room many times.

"Born to be wild" is actually a biker song but comes in at a virtual tie.
(Posted before I saw the post above).

Add "Helen Wheels" by the Beetles, bonus points if you know what kind of car she is.
You DID know it's about a car, right?

MGBV8

Yes, a British car.

One of my fav Hagar (he wrote it) songs. Set your cruise control & hang on!

Not x'tly an LBC song- but, Pink Cadilac/Springsteen. Best mood elevator, would be , Blue Boy/Fogerty,(crank it up),foot gotta move on this one. Nostagia, the "Original", Hot Rod Lincoln,(40's) ? If I/we should meet, I suggest an LP/45 party. I bought every car LP, as a kid. Cheers, roverman.

MGBV8

Okay, the Party is at Art's house! :)
