Another gallery addition: Jim Lewenauer's MGB-GT V8

Probably many of you guys are already familiar with this car... Jim Lewenauer kindly sent in a write-up and photos, but I think he's already sold the car. Apparently it needs a softer throttle spring, quieter mufflers, or something along those lines because Jim complained that it's "too fast" for him. If you ARE familiar with this car, please help me fill in the How-It-Was-Done a little more completely.

These Saab "Shelby" wheels... What model/year did they come on?

Could they be Minilite Sport Rims?

The real Minilites look similar in the hub area but different in the rim. (The rims on the car have a fluted section.)

In this photo on the eBay site...

there are FOUR small links ABOVE the leaf springs. What are they? Some sort of anti-sway device?

Doesn't it look like the leaf spring would tap the muffler in this photo?

I have the same wheels like shown here but they came from a Jaguar and have a 5 lug bolt pattern and marked "Maxilite"
They are 15x7 rims. Wonder if the bolt pattern is the same as for a MGC.
I'll post some pics later.

Curtis, looks to me like the links labeled "1" are for the sway bar. The brackets for it can be just seen on the axle housing and labeled "3" The links labeled "2" I think are supports for the upper shock mounting, probably to keep it from rotating. It appears to just be bolted to the chassis using one of the original lever action shock mount bolt locations and the sway bar end link mount uses the other bolt location.
