Lucas 14 CUX Speedotransducer

Hello everyone, Is it possible to use the Speedo Transducer of a Rover SD1 for the Lucas 14 CUX System. If I Use a Tornado or Optimax Chip it should be work with a Transducer that produces a different number of pulses per rev  because I have no speed limit built in. The Sd 1 Transducer produces 8 or 4 Pulses (12v /0v Square wave) I'm actually not sure.
What kind of Signal does the Original Transducer for example part. no AMR3386 produces??

The SD1 transducer will work just fine.
The ECU just needs to see a speed signal to determine if the vehicle is moving or not.
It uses this to calculate idle speeds and fuel cuts for decel.
Amplitude and frequency don't matter.
The early signals were sine wave and the later ones were square wave so pretty much anything is acceptable.

How can one add a Transducer if they are using a Ford T5 which uses an electronic speedo? Is there one that can be added to the drive shaft?

You can add a sensor just about anywhere Mike.
The output from your trans sensor can be tapped into.
What are you using for a speedo?
Most electronic ones have an output that can be utilized.
A magnetic or hall effect pickup can be used to sense a drive shaft ujoint or ring gear teeth.
You could drill your trans case and pick up the 5th gear teeth.
Or use an ABS sensor at a wheel.
The input is so forgiving that the only limit is your imagination.

Thanks for the ideas. Not sure why I did not think of tapping in to the speedo. It's a VDO with Ford type sensor.
