British V8 2008 was deliberately scheduled back-to-back with the Kohler International Challenge at nearby Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

Anyone who attended British V8 2008 and then didn't stay over to see vintage Can-Am cars up-close-and-personal really, profoundly messed up!

Here's just one example of what you missed. (Please see the five photos below.)

I didn't have time to verify the details, but I was told that this specific car is THE very "Lola T70 Mk II" (with open cockpit and Chevy motor) that Mark Donahue himself drove in Can-Am races in 1966.  (Correct me if I'm wrong... but didn't Lola win five of the six races they ran in '66? I wasn't born yet...)  Here's the bigger question: shouldn't British V8 edge upscale and start covering this sort of "engine swap" too?

Nice eye candy Curtis, but a bit out of my budget. Here's another one I ran into at the races at Heartland Park last year in Kent Prather's pit area.If I remember correctly this one was an ex Jackie Stewart car.
