I'm cleaning out my garage. Today I found a Lucas distributor I'd totally forgotten about. I know very little about it... but I know I don't need it. So, it's for sale!

I don't see any physical signs of distress. I removed the cap for casual inspection, and I can tell you the cap and rotor look as-good-as-new to me. (The eight contacts inside the cap have slight discoloration, but no scale.)

As far as I know, 35DLM8 is the part number. I expect 3789 is a date code; possibly week 37 of 1989.

The ignition module is part number 80428B. Date code is 0696. So, evidently, someone has replaced the module already... certainly no earlier than February 1996.

I'll happily sell this beauty for $50, shipping included to anywhere in the lower 48 states. Inquire if you'd like me to ship it somewhere else. I'm in Longmont Colorado.

You are correct, sir, that it is a 35DLM8 distributor and your interpretation of the other numbers are indeed date codes.

Same unit used in the RV8 or any Land Rover of that vintage.

Good deal for someone.
