The latest addition to the British V8 photo gallery belongs to Jim Prettyleaf of Cupertino California.

Check it out here: Jim Prettyleaf's 1971 Triumph TR-6 with Buick 231 V6 (12 photos so far)

I think this photo is especially interesting:
1971 MGB GT V8
Buick 215 w/ Rover heads, custom EFI & crank-fired ignition.
Custom front and rear coilover suspensions.

BMC

I looked at the first photo without knowing that there was a second below it. Three things I noticed right away:

-It is actually in the corner, not just before it.
-The frame is not flexing to kingdom come as the TR6 does.
-The suspension is still relatively flat for a TR6.

Seeing the second photo explains quite a bit of this... Either that or they are driving it very slow!

-BMC.

p.s. I suspect they are driving it at speed. :-)

I'd like to know how Jim fitted 15/8.5" rims on the front supension. Details would be apprciated. My 15/7" were enough of a struggle. I love your car Jim!  I'm sure it's a blast to drive.

Ken,

I found out yesterday looking around the net, that Jim Prettyleaf is a member of the Triumph Travelers Sports Car Club.

http://www.triumphtravelers.org/    Look in the members list, has his phone number in there. You could call him and find out how he fitted the 15/8.5 rims on the front suspension.

I will be attending the Triumphest coming up next month in Tahoe. I will print up some "How it was done" sheets so can hopefully get some interested folks steered to BritishV8.org. Spread the illness.

Jim Prettyleaf may even attend this function, if he is, will ask the questions if possible about his ride.
