I guess it's a British V8.  Sorta.

"I have a 73 MG sitting on a Mazda p-u frame, with a Ranger rear and a 302 engine and a 3-spd trans pulling it around. This is the closest you will come to a T-Bucket with out having one. Its Fast and a Blast to drive. I have clean title for it. $2,800 or may trade for another toy. CALL OR TEXT 865-237-7907 Thanks"

I see he's now lowered his expectations............ "Its Fast and a Blast to drive. I have clean title for it. $2,000 or may trade for another toy".

The things you see when C4 and blasting caps are out of season.

Rick, after-all is a bretherin. Perhaps this is the first, consumate MG Rat Rod ? They laughed at Fulton too ! Good Luck Rick, roverman.

This must be the "coke bottle aerodynamics" I've heard so much about:

Thing is, this would probably be a lot of fun to drive.

Spitfire 350

I really hate the rat rod genre, but that is just my opinion. I do think this car would be a real riot to drive. I also think that it has potential, get matching wheels, find a midget hood, bend up some sheet metal to make some flares and valences.....

pspeaks

I think I would like to start with the back wheels a little closer together; just saying!

Sorry, but this hurts me just to look at it. I have an affinity for MG Midgets and this one could be so much better. Like Phil I find that for many guys the term Rat Rod just gave them an excuse to throw some parts together that were beyond ugly and with very little engineering skill.

I'm kinda scraching my head, and woundering WHY? I guess it's build something with what ever you have laying around, but it's a streach to call it a car. Bad taste is just bad! Oh well I don't have to be seen driving it.
to each his own, Dave

PS: My Chev powered  TD took best in class at the Northern Alabama British Motoring Society show yesterday. I was told there was a V8/MGB there, but never found it.

Oh, it's definitely car by TN standards. It has wheels, it runs, it drives.  Nobody has to like for it to be a hoot to drive.  :)

What class was your TD in Dave?
Carl

Carl
I'm not sure what class I was in, I think there were about 20 or so, I don't pay much attention to awards and didn't attend the presentations. The judges hunted me down for a pic and the plaque. The Nashville club walked off with seven awards to include best of show, hope they let us come back next year. HA HA!

Not knowing where "Rick" lives, I thought HE might be selling this, to update his style ? I know it's not an AH, but potentential none-the-less ? Do they still run swamp buggies ?  Onward, roverman.

HealeyRick

Not mine, Art.  I'm from Massachusetts.  I might be a yankee, but I'm not a swamp yankee  http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Swamp%20Yankee
