I'm sure it has been discussed in a post that somehow went over my dense skull, but where in Palestine is the get together to take place?

See you there Paul., looking forward to meeting you in person and talking to you about the Roadmaster. You are in a stratigic location there in Dallas.

Great!  see you there.    Any locals around Shreveport, drop by the Best Western Chateau for the Warm-Up Saturday night.  Caravan over to Palestine on Sunday with us..
SAFETY FASTER!

Paul, you're not heading over till Tuesday?  If that was a typo, I'll be heading from The Dallas area to Palestine around 1:30 or 2pm on Sunday.  I'm going from Houston to Lewisville Sunday morning to pick up my dad who's joining me on this one.  Getting there around noon and going to lunch with my folks before heading out.

I'm coming down for the day Tuesday partly because of Medical treatments and because my daughter who is going through a divorce will need my car to go to work over the weekend and Monday.  The earliest I'll be able to do anything is Tuesday morning.  I'm really looking forward to meeting you guys.

Back home safe and sound.  Had a great time meeting you guys and being face to face with those who have helped me so much and inspired me for so long to do the conversion.  Thanks Curtis and Jim for the rides, made me want to go home and work on my "B" if I could dig my way through my daughter's stuff.  I mentioned to a couple of you how I did my fiberglass dash so I'll try to take pictures later today and post on a different post.  Again, thank you everybody for a great time and looking forward to the next hopefully with my car.

Paul - i missed meeting you -- was that you @ the autocross site?  I saw Curtis talking to someone but didn't put 2 & 2 together at the time.  I'll make a point to let you know the next time I go to Dallas to visit my folks & maybe we can hook up then.

Yes I was at the autocross site and at the pizza feast and it was probably me you saw talking to Curtis.  I was the one with the long blond hair, OK, it's gray, but I'm still gonna call it blond.  I look forward to seeing you; maybe we could meet for lunch or something.  let me know when you come in.

Thanks Kelly, me too!!  I was so inspired I went out and moved some of my daughter''s stuff out of the way and spent some time with the GT, didn't get anything done, but I sat and watched it for a while.

Paul, glad you made it to Palestine, really enjoyed talking to you and sharing our Navy stories. Hope you can have that car running for next year in Omaha.

pspeaks

Thanks Bill, I enjoyed it too.  I hope to have the GT finished as well.  When my daughter's house sells in Port Royal she plans to buy a house in Lewisville or McKinney with a large garage so I'll have room to accomplish what I need to do.  Ninety percent of the fabrication is done and the rest is mostly bolt on like rebuilding the brakes and replacing suspension rubber with polyurethane bushings.  My wife and I drove it everywhere and when she died sixteen years ago I parked it and it hasn't been driven since so I guess it needs a new gas tank too.  As I live in Dallas, I'll have to do something about AC but I want to get it running first.  I had such a good time in Palestine I'm really looking forward to next year.  It will be even better if I have my car there.
