Boxter Spyder has nice riffle-drilled axles. Too bad their 5" too long(pair). They can't be shortened because of reduced diameters, beside splines. They are 30.5mm spline dia. x 28 count. This means they don't fit aftermarket "930" cv joints."Maybe" inner race of 930 cv will interchange with Boxter balls and outer housing. If so, good value aftermarket axles, of correct length, could be employed. Onward, roverman.

The nice thing about the Boxter set-up, is the outer cv housing and stub axle are one. This fits the 911 STA and hub perfectly= light and compact. Bad thing is, splines are bastard size 30.5 mm. All these aftermarket cv/axles assemblies use identical inner and outer cv jounts, to which a stub axle is bolted to. This isn't my preferred design. Onward, roverman.
