I'm running a Camaro T5 (0.63 5th gear) in a 79 MGB. When I installed the tranny 10 years ago, a speedo gear and spindle (23 teeth black ) was supplied to provide proper ratio for MGB speedometer. WorKed great until last month - now that 23 tooth gear has lost a few teeth. I need a replacement, but don't know where that piece came from! HELP?

Thanks, Graham! You wouldn't believe how hard I've looked.

Car back together and out this spring with 23 tooth driven gear (black) in
Camaro  t5 tranny. I've heard this gear "wears out" quickly - even though my 1st 23 tooth gear was in for 8 years, that was still only about 4000 miles. Thinking about going to gps speedometer
 - how about a specific list of gps speedos folks have used? Thanks!

Have you considered changing the drive gear (to less teeth) so that you can use a lower tooth count driven gear?
For example, my drive gear has 8 teeth and driven gear is a 19 tooth that's lasted for years.

Driven gear teeth = [Drive gear teeth x axle ratio x tire rev. per mile] / speedo tpm

GPS speedo ? Will we still get a ticket  with sun spots/lol. ? Boxter S t-axle has no provision for "cable". What are the options ? Thanks, roverman.

Roverman,  does the front or rear suspension have ABS sensors?
Or your Porsche tyranny have a VSS?
If you have either you can use the signal from a sensor with most any aftermarket electronic speedo
