I have started my ford V8 project for the B. Engine bay modifications done, modified crossmember installed, brakes tomorrow. Pictures when I download the camera.

Dont know how to make a journal. Here is a photo of the modified cross member, a photo of the engine bay power washed, and a photo of the modified cross member installed and the old motor mounts removed, and the holes cut for the exhaust.

I made my clutch slave cylinder bracket today. I just need to finish the push rod.

Bill, if the bleeder fitting and the inlet are not reversable then I think you have a problem, you'll never be able to bleed they system unless you use a reverse vacuum bleeder on it.
A hint as well, consider running a remote bleeder as well, makes bleeding using any system much easier as you can access the bleed screw and monitor the resevoir at the same time. I did on my car and it makes it a one man operation.

I have exactly that same Nissan slave cyl on my conversion - bleeding in the normal way is not a problem.

I've also got the same slave and agree with Graham. I had no prblem at all bleeding mine.

Bill, I really like the way you did your clutch slave cylinder bracket, wish I had done mine like that but now I'm too fat to crawl under the car to change it.

Paul, you look normal in your avitar. I have a two post lift outside my shop, so I can do underside work more easily. I am not too fat, but am getting too old to climb under. As soon as I get the model A ford that I am working on out of the shop, the B will go in and get the trial fit for the engine. I hope that is next week.

I got the clutch linkage finished, and have the engine installed for a trial fit. Next is the radiator and oil filter lines.

The two MGCGT's are for sale at $1500 the pair.
I got the radiator installed this week, and made side panels to deflect the air into the radiator instead of around it.

That looks great Bill, I used a 65 Mustang 6 cyl radiator but I don't care for the way it hangs down so low. May make some changes there but I like how you did the bulkheads on each side of yours.

I used angle iron to mount the radiator. I machined the angle of one side down on the bridgeport, so the combined width would just fit between the frame rails, and welded the angle iron to the frame. The angle is drilled and tapped to accept the radiator mounting bolts, and also the air deflectors, so I can remove them to service the horns, wiring, and hood latch. Almost time to pull the motor and do the cleaning and painting.

Got the engine pulled and painted the engine bay and the engine. I need to plumb the clutch line and the gas line, then install the engine.

The engine bay is Damask red. So is the car, but faded and needing a buffing. I got the engine installed, and the headers on. Now the fun begins: wiring, plumbing, exhaust.

I'd be inclined to paint the engine Damask Red, as well.

I finally got it running. Finished up the bits on monday, got it running tuesday, and yesterday made the front half of the exhaust system and took it for a ride. Very loud and very fast. Now that the wiring appears to be correct and all the relays are installed, I will wrap the wiring harness and the engine bay should look ok. Next to find mufflers that fit and quiet it down sufficiently.
