Very nice, but I can't understand why cars like this aren't just displayed in museums. You can't really drive them as you risk all sorts of damage that would reduce the value as a concours car. That's a lot of money to spend to just win trophies with. I guess that's very important to some folks though. I'd rather have a ratty old conversion that I can drive whenever and where ever I feel like it.

Absolutely a beautiful car!
Something I wish I could do.
I'm with Bill though.
Art belongs in a museum. (the car, not our fellow member.)
Otherwise cars were meant to be driven.
I've never heard a designer say "finally it's done, now let's park it."
All of my cars get driven in all kinds of weather.
They get cleaned and maintained properly.
But the wear and tear is just part of the deal.
The experience that shows on the cars is a badge of honor in my opinion.

Not my cup of tea(coffee) either, but posted it as it's probably the best of it's type we would ever see, cars can be art but they were built to be driven.

Sold for £12,075 on March 5th and then the price jumped a bit to £29,995! Best of luck to the owners.

ARt/art /ART... "someday", I'll be able to semi-retire and work on my own junk/stuff. Until that fatefull period happens... there will be no "art show", lol/imho, roverman.

Check Nutley's stocklist...............$57,000 for an MGC Roadster, $157,000 for a '61 E-Type! $49,000 for a MGB GT v8 doesn't seem too bad if you follow their pricing. Some very good looking cars though.
