Infinity motor

A while back someone asked about an Infinity V8 for a MGB. A little wide because of DOHC heads. Anything is possible, though expensive. This is not the base motor, but the "INDY" version. Cool Motor!

Pretty!        What's it weigh and what are its diminsions?    Cost?

The cost of this one is prohibitive,800HP Indy500 motor. The base motor 300-400HP can be found in junkyards.Probably$1500+ range.

You can get them in anything with a 45 in the name.  I.e. M45, Q45, etc.  Nissan uses the motor also, and the truck version is a 5.6L, though heavier.

The VQ45 is a nice motor, and the bore spacing on the heads is remarkably close to an SBC, making a DOHC SBC possible, though not easy.

Don't forget the Toyota 1UZ and It's successors, that should always be an option when the VK45 is considered.
